Additional International Bands are Confirmed to perform at the 4th Java Rockinland
After the confirmation of Suicidal Tendencies, Collective Soul and Last Dinosaurs were confirmed earlier, the 4th Java Rockin'land is pleased to announce Sixpence None The Richer (USA), Hellogoodbye (USA), Go Chic (Taiwan), 88 Balls (Taiwan), and Utopia (Taiwan).
Sixpence None the Richer is pop duo that originated from New Braunfels, Texas. The group has released four albums since it was formed in 1993. Their known songs amongst the few are "Kiss Me", "There She Goes", "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Breathe Your Name", which were successful in bringing the group into the national pop spotlight, landed them with a platinum record because they reached a million soundtrack copy and they have earned a few Grammy nominations. Even though Matt Slocum and Leigh Nash had parted in 2004, right after they released the "Divine Discontent" album, they got back together and created their latest album "Lost in Transition" in 2012.
HelloGoodbye is another American band who is confirmed to perform at Java Rockinland 2013. The band was originally formed in California in 2001 and has released 3 albums "Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!" (2006) "Would It Kill You?"(2009) and "Did it Kill You" (2013). Before those 3 albums, they released a self-titled EP in 2004, which sold over 400,000 copies to date. In 2007 their single "Here (in your arms)" from their first album Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, was another success that brought them to the Top 40 radio and entered the Billboard Hot 100. Beside their albums, HelloGoodbye has also released a DVD titled "OMG HGB DVD ROTFL" which features their concert and touring footage.
Go Chic New electro-punk band that originated from Taiwan was nominated for "Best Pop Song", "Best Electro/Dance Song", "Most Mind-blowing Music Video" in Asia Pacific VOICE Independent Music Video Awards (AVIMA) and won "Best Genre-Bending Act" and the "Tipped 2 Be the Next Big Thing" in that awards on 2010.
88Balaz is an active rock band which was known as The Craziest Indie Band from Taiwan. The band formed in 1997 is influenced by Nirvana and Gun's and Roses. This indie band became well-known after they won the biggest rock-band competition in Taiwan Indie award of "Ho-Hai-Yan" music festival in 2001. They are confirmed to perform together with Utopia that originated from the same country.
